Pom Pom Bunnies
What’s Easter without lots of cute bunnies? You need to make some of these little guys to add to your Easter décor and it’s a great craft project you can do with your kids. They are made with a bulky yarn so they have that soft, fluffy appearance to them and their little bead face is so adorable! Take my word for it you can’t make just one. They are going to multiply like…….rabbits. Bunch them together in a group maybe in a cute pastel bowl as part of your Easter décor or place them around the house individually and make it an eye spy game with your kids. Either way you will love them!
- Pom pom making kit
- Bulky yarn (No. 4 or 5)
- Black and white beads
- White pom poms
- Needle and thread
- Glue gun
Make 1 large and 1 small pom pom with you kit following the directions on the package. The more yarn and the tighter you wind it the better because it will create a thicker pom pom.
Cut out 2 ears from your felt approximately ½” wide and 1 ¼” long.
Fold them in half length wise to create a crease. And a tiny dot of hot glue to the bottom of the ear then fold together. This will create some definition to the ear instead of it appearing too flat.
Glue the 2 ears to the sides of the small pom pom.
With your needle and thread, sew 2 black beads and 1 white bead onto the small pom pom for the eyes and nose.
On the large pom pom, glue a white pom pom on to make a little bunny tail.
Finally, glue the head to the body. You may need to trim the yarn flat on the bottom of the large pom pom so that the bunny will sit upright and not topple over.
I love the cream and grey tones for my bunnies. And I seriously bought the mini eggs that I have in the picture so I would have an excuse to eat them afterwards.
