A cute little plant is a sweet and simple gift to give someone; but the container you put it in makes the gift shine…especially when you have put that homemade touch on it! A simple dollar store pot that has been aged and weathered will look like a million bucks when I show you an easy way of how to get this effect. For that country or farmhouse look that you know your friend has in his/her home, this will be the perfect addition with this galvanized weathered plant pot.

Materials:

  • Small galvanized pot
  • Toilet bowl cleaner
  • Brush
  • Plant
  • Potting soil
  • Ribbon

Directions

Paint the toilet bowl cleaner onto the surface of the pot using the brush.

Leave it for only a couple minutes until the shine has been taken off and it has a dull look.

Wash the remaining cleaner off the pot and dry it really well.

Pot the plant with some extra soil if needed and give it a good watering.

Finishing touch, a big bow tied on the front.

I don’t know about you, but I think this is one adorable gift!
